Terms & Conditions

Scope of Services

BLACKBOX-camera provides professional installation of dash cameras and low-voltage automotive accessories (“Accessory”). Our services include: Installing vehicle accessories that do not affect the vehicle’s factory mechanical performance, handling, or safety-critical systems.
Power will be achieved by using non-critical accessory power circuits, where possible, and using standard industry practices.
Routing and concealing wiring behind trim panels and within existing vehicle channels to achieve a clean, secure, safe, and professional installation that preserves factory safety systems.

We do not modify or repair core vehicle systems, and our services do not include air conditioner repair (automotive), auto-electrical garage operations, electrical repairs (automotive), ECU reprogramming, alternator wiring, or diagnosis of factory vehicle faults.

Quotes and Payment

Quotes are valid for 14 days, payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed, and prices may vary if additional work outside the agreed scope is required.

Bookings & Customer Obligations

When booking our services, please ensure your vehicle is safely accessible and any special instructions or pre-existing issues are communicated to us. Cancellations require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice; late cancellations may incur a fee. We may need to reschedule or adjust services in certain situations, such as unsafe conditions or unforeseen circumstances, and we appreciate your understanding if this occurs.

Liabilities

Installations are performed with due care and skill. BLACKBOX-camera is not responsible for pre-existing damage or issues, or for circumstances outside our control. We do not accept liability for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of use, inconvenience, or related expenses. While we take all reasonable precautions, customers acknowledge that certain risks exist during installation, including minor breakages to components, especially if they are are old, brittle, or fragile.

Acceptance of Services

By taking delivery of your vehicle after the supply of services, you confirm acceptance of the work performed.

Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

This warranty applies only to the workmanship of installations performed by BLACKBOX-camera and does not cover the dashcam, accessory itself, or any pre-existing issues with the vehicle.

Warranty Period

The workmanship warranty remains valid for the lifetime of the installation, as long as the work performed remains unaltered, the Accessory is used within manufacturer guidelines, and the vehicle is in good working order. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer and vehicle. It excludes third-party repair costs, downtime, or inconvenience.

What’s Covered

This warranty covers issues directly arising from the workmanship of the Accessory installation. It includes problems such as faulty wiring connections, loose cables, errors in integrating the Accessory with your vehicle’s power supply or inability to reasonably reassemble or refit interior vehicle trim components interacted with during the installation process.

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not cover any issues related to the Accessory itself, including but not limited to performance problems, hardware defects, or compatibility issues with your vehicle - including battery drainage. It also excludes any damage caused by factors outside of BLACKBOX-camera's control, such as environmental conditions (e.g., water, heat), improper use, mishandling/alterations made by the customer or a third-party. Any pre-existing electrical or mechanical issues in the vehicle, as well as damages unrelated to the installation process are also excluded from this warranty.
